Hello, yes, my MacBook Pro only has two USB ports, that is what makes the additional two USB ports only Apple keyboard a blessing. I keep my iLock plugged into the keyboard.
As for the subscription, I had good luck purchasing through Sweetwater. The iLock is included in the subscription price. Or at least it was when I purchased from them.
