CMD+Control+F is the shortcut for sending an app full screen, not for 
maximizing. similar yet very different. CMD+CTRL+F will only work on apps that 
have a full screen option, unfortunately Pro Tools never took advantage of that 
newer apple design concept and integrated  it into Pro tools. TO maximize just 
Vo all the way to the left until you find the Set of buttons that says, Close, 
Minimize and Zoom. You will want to click the Zoom  button to maximize.
