Just looked at the Behringer 18 20 manual and I can safely say that there is no control panel needed. There is a direct monitoring knob on the unit, and a button for setting sample rate for external digital devices.
For $199, this may be an incredible bang for the buck. I think I’ll take the plunge here in a few weeks and grab one. I’ll report back.
