One of the things suggested strongly for Voiceover users of Protools is to disable certain things like spotlight, and of course, the OSX Dashboard. I can only assume this is to prevent certain keyboard command conflicts.
I really would like to get the functionality back of OSX's Dashboard though, as some of the widgets are incredibly incredibly helpful! Things like Weather, News, etc. things basically that I've yet to find actual accessible apps to use instead. Therefore, I'm curious if anyone here still has access to their Dashboard, and if so, instead of the native F12 key, what did you remap it to? I'm not so much concerned of re-enabling it, as much as I am of bumping into a key conflict along the way. Does F11 do anything useful in Protools? If not, I've highly considered using that instead of F12, being F12 is a way to record. Normally, I just use num pad 3, but, yeah...
