That depends on your price point and whether you want a laptop or desktop. 
Anything in apples current line up minus maybe the macbook and macbook air 
should be plenty sufficient to get going and keep you going for along time to 
come.  Whatever system  you get get as much ram as you can afford.  Also go for 
an SSD if you can afford it but no need to get more than 128Gb or 256GB as you 
will want an external  drive to record to.  Advantage of a mac mini or iMac is 
you have the option to get both  drives internally.
