You can Control-drag the clip from the clips list to force it to be placed at the insertion point. Again, the timeline and track height need to be adequate but it is possible. Further, the Control modifier needs to be used from a control surface and the mouse down initiated with VoiceOver using the num pad. HTH, Slau
