Hi Gordon,

Assuming you're using an Apple Pro keyboard, it's the slash key to the left of 
the asterisk and not a Shifted back slash. The first time you press it, it'll 
enable the Start field and you can type your values. In this case, 35 then 
decimal then 7 (no need to type a zero) and hit Enter on the numeric keypad. If 
you want to get to the end field instead, type the slash key twice. That's the 
nutshell. Hopefully, someone else might have a copy of one of the posts I put 
together that details how to enter counter values.

Under the event operations you can do a tempo change in various ways. If you 
have a click in the session, you can experiment with various types of tempo 
changes.
