Not exactly markers related but still important. One cool feature of Pro Tools is the fact that when you export MIDI you can also export the MIDI properties. When a MIDI track is brought into another DAW such as Samplitude, Samplitude will ask you if you want to import the tempo map. This could be important to some as it was for me recently as I had been sent a session in which the file gradually speeded up. When I looked in Samplitude's markers manager I could see all of the location points and where the tempo map changed and this had all been done in Pro Tools. Also I was asked to do some drum replacement with Superior Drummer and was able to easily do that with the same MIDI file that the producer had used with other drum software and it all synced up beautifully. Would be interesting to see if Logic can do something similar.

Clip information can be but I'm not sure if Logic will interpret clip info in the same way. In other words, clip info for a continuous WAV file is embedded and the host application imports that file and sees the associated clips and recognizes their timestamps. Pure Marker location information can be exported separately as text and imported into a spreadsheet or text editor but then you'd have to manually recreate those markers elsewhere in another DAW. Come to think of it, markers can only be imported into Pro Tools from other session files rather than from text so there's certainly a limitation going the other way but, who knows, maybe Logic can import markers from a text file. I'm wanting to import these tracks in to logic, and I want the marker information to come in as well.
