Personally I have the previous generation MBP with physical function keys, but 
if i use PT for anything serious on my laptop, are any way plug in a external 
keyboard so that I have a numpad. I guess it comes down to personal choice and 
whether you will be able to get used to the touch bar, I guess it's just One of 
those things, like you having to get used to a iPhone or iPads touch screen. If 
it was me I'd jump in and go for the 2017 MBP.
