Hey Slau. You got me excited there for a moment.. :) I forgot to mention that Jam Pro is a USB-based sound card. It's a 1-in/0-out dongle specifically designed as a guitar interface. Seems like Protools will restore hardware inputs for a path when the "defaults" button is pressed, but will not do anything for non-hardware inputs, such as USB sound cards even if the latter are included in the aggregate device. I still hope to be wrong, but I can't get it to work without assigning an input manually, which is where I'm stuck at the moment.
