Many thanks! Got back at stupid-o'clock this morning, but went right to
the machine and checked it all out. I loaded Hybrid 3 (not with Komplete
Kontrol) and then imported one of the presets from the Prime Loop pack.
The results? Wacky stuff! But at least I learned how to do it, which was
the objective.
Now here's an interesting question which might be more Komplete
Kontrol-related. I haven't the time to try this until next week, as I'm
kind-of booked for the rest of the day and will be gone all weekend, but
I'm wondering, can these presets be imported with a Plugin loaded by
Komplete Kontrol? Since KK is the plugin of record on a track, acting
only as the host for whatever else it loads, it seems to me the answer
would be no. But you know how I tend to get things backward (ha ha), so
maybe it's possible.
Thanks again for all you do, and that times ten to the eighth for
putting up with nutty newbies like me.

Hi Steve,
The TFX files reside in folders with the plug-in name. The Path on the Mac is:
User/Documents/Pro Tools/Plug-in Settings/*name of plug-in*
With the AIR stuff, you copy each folder that contains the TFX files and drop
it right into the top level of the Plug-in Settings folder. Probably anything
you do have is already in the drop Box folder so you can see for yourself the
structure, so to speak.
Best,
Slau

I started this thread elsewhere, but since I've found out my question is
specific to Pro Tools, I moved it here. Thanks, Slau, for kickin' me in the
right direction.
One of the files I downloaded is called Tapestry. I've figured out that it
probably goes with Loom II because the download link was under that product's
heading in the email. Prime Loop - Hybrid Trap Presets was under a heading all
its own, but the title certainly gives it away as to what plugin it goes with.
I watched some rather useless YouTube videos--useless because the narrators
just kept on talking about clicking here and there. So I went to the reference
manual and found out what appears to be everything I need to know in Chapter
49. When I get back home, I have to find the Plugins Settings menu and figure
out what is meant by the Root Settings folder. Or I'll just skip that latter
for now and load these presets from where I placed them.

What are they, what DAW uses them, and in what capacity? They came as part of
the Air Music Expansion Pack {big snip}
