Hi, I’ve tested the issue when using the caps lock instead of control-option, but just like when I used QuickNav, it was not possible to adjust both with only one pan pot.
For those of us that doesn’t have a control surface yet, the solution is to link the pan controls, turn on mouse keys and either hold down the 5 key while using the 4 or 6 key to move the pan pot, use a Track Pad or mouse, or a combination by holding the 5 key on the numeric key pad while moving the mouse or the finger on the Track Pad. All these options will change both pan pots. The down side of this kind of linking however, is that you will not be able to balance a true stereo image to the left or the right side while keeping the stereo imaging intact. But it will work in certain scenarios. Also, it’s hard to make smooth movements that will work for automation. I have previously posted link to a stereo image plugin that also will solve this issue, but currently it’s not fully accessible with VoiceOver. The developer is currently looking into this issue. For what it's worth, that might help to an extent but I'd imagine a control surface would really be the key to using pan linking. Not sure.
