That maybe so , but I think any author deserves some squatting rights on the
code they laboured long and hard on. But that doesnt mean you cant help
yourself while you wait for action ....
As I mentioned in a previous post theres nothing stopping "Others" from
creating a supplementary support site to maintain a patch archive or even a
branch "fixup release". This could possibly lead to forking (which is Not A
Good Thing) if it goes on long enough. But if these "others" intentions are
noble (just holding the fort till Ralf has time to attend) and they need to
fill the void theres nothing really to stop them doing so. If anyone willing
to take this on needs server resources to host such a site, SourceForge and
the like are free.

I'd offer our site as an archive, but right now I just dont have the time to
set it up or maintain it - my paying job has me locked down for a lot more
than 8 hours a day . Pth is working for me fine, so I havent felt the need
to chase down any fixes (yet) . I can sympathise with Ralf if he hasnt
resources at the moment. But if anyone out there have a big enough need to
update Pth and make it publicly available, then theres no reason not to help
themselves. With a bit of care, the accumulated changes should be able to be
merged into the main code base.

Regards,
