I suppose you're right, Tyler. Maybe I'll get a Motorola 150 CPEi
(www.motorola.com/business/v/item.jsp?vgnextoid=617323805ae46110VgnVCM1000008406b00aRCRD&localeId=33),
tape the board from a Linksys running DD-WRT  to it and put them both
in a water tight box. They both take 12 volts. I bet I could do that
for under $200.

A 45ah Optima battery might run it for 48 hours straight.
Unfortunately, to get 24 amp/hours back into the battery every day, I
think I'd need at least an 80 watt panel (delivering 4 amps for 5
hours).

That's another $700 or so. Too bad Merakis are so expensive ($200)
these days. I like that solution.
