Without a splash page, we would not have the option of doing
fundraising drives (which we've done in the past) and we'd lose the
link to donate (which people do use).

What is the problem with the splash page (other than the issues with
WifiDog+WGT that Russell mentioned)?

Would adding a social/interactive component improve your view of the
splash page? I think you hang out with a lot of the tech types that
I'd love to see helping PTP, so I'd like to know if there's something
we could do to engage them that we aren't doing now.
