You'd have the same issue (at least on the iPhone) of needing to run
the app to auth. Also, I didn't notice that tweet. I was referring to:

"@personaltelco I'd consider it, but logistics- how do I prove I've
paid w/o logging in? Splash screen makes phone access nearly
impossible."

I guess I made a slight assumption about his intent, but I took it to
mean his phone didn't work with it.

Either way, I would personally enjoy it if walking past a node didn't
bust my iPhone browsing, as I do it multiple times a day at work,
often with my phone in hand.
