EZ-OS is a stripped-down Xandros, derived from KDE/Debian.
Very sparse. Some kind of funny overlay thing going on; df
shows /dev/sda1 mounted, but not the much larger /dev/sda2.
What shows in / is fixed files from /dev/sda1 combined with
changed files (and user files) that live in /dev/sda2. This
is reminiscent of what jffs does on top of squashfs in OpenWRT,
but I'm not sure how that is accomplished.

/etc/apt connects to http://easysoftwareupdates.com/ebox/ ,
which shows very few files, mostly regionalization stuff.
ASUS keeps this very simple, and there is not much that is
usable in a more full-featured distro.

No AP mode drivers. /lib/modules is very stripped down,
with only the fixed internal hardware, and a few plausible
usb device drivers (not very many!).

I pulled the Azurewave AW-NE766 RT2790 PCIe mini card out of
the WinXP box so I will be sure the machine is isolated from
the net. The radio is available for fun and games.
