Andrew,

Does this mean that if you record to a DAISY project in several chunks that you are
still limited to 2 GB? I got the idea that a new audio file is created when you have
stopped recording and then start again?

If this is the case, would the PTR1 allow you to create a book that is bigger than 2
GB even though each individual audio file is limited to a maximum of 2 GB?

I've probably got the wrong end of the stick as usual.

Cheers,

Jamie

Hi Carol,

The PTR1 should recognize FAT as well as FAT32 formatted cards. We
have a long way to go before the FAT32 limit is reached (around 30 GB
I think, after 10GB it starts becoming inefficient).

The issue with FAT32 is the size of the MP3 file that stores the book
- we have to limit it to the 2GB size that is the maximum size for a
file under that filing system, hence the maximum size for a book
currently.

Andrew.
