Thanks, Andrew, but I still have two CF cards that just wouldn't work in
the PTR1 which couldn't be returned as the pacaging etc had been
inadvertently thrown out.

Never mind, I'll try a re-format and if not will sell them on.

Hi Carol,

The PTR1 should recognize FAT as well as FAT32 formatted cards.  We have
a long way to go before the FAT32 limit is reached (around 30 GB I
think, after 10GB it starts becoming inefficient).

The issue with FAT32 is the size of the MP3 file that stores the book
- we have to limit it to the 2GB size that is the maximum size for a
file under that filing system, hence the maximum size for a book
currently.
