I apologise if this has been covered before. It's a long time since Ive used my PTR1 for this sort of work. I have a newly-acquired 1GHZ card - not sure, but think it may be Toshiba. I have formatted the card successfully on my laptop, it works fine on my BrailleNote. However, if I try to 'clean up' on the PTR1 it sits there bleeping at me for a very long time - I've left it running for five hours or more. After formatting on the laptop, it records about two hours of music - using
256Kbits/sec MP3, then I get a 'write error'. Every time. I have recorded short files successfully, but not yet tried past the two-hour-plus amount. Nor have I yet tried recording CD quality (i.e. 80 minutes). Any help welcomed - is it the card, the PTR1 or something I'm doing wrong. Using the latest UK firmware I think 2.01 from August 2003. Thanks in advance.
