Hello,
(BI have the PRS running on my desktop using Win 2K, and I have the latest
(Bfirmware on my PTR1. I haven't a clue how to copy Mp3 audio book files from
(Bmy desktop to my PTR1 direct. When I copy them to a CD using the burner on
(Bmy CD, the PTR1 plays the files recognizes way more files than actually
(Bexist, and plays them back in small segments that are out of order and which
(Brepeat. Does anyone have some clear instructions I could use?
(BI also have a Kingston 5 gig micro drive card on the PTR1 that isn't
(Brecognized by the PC when I have the PTR1 synchronized with the PC.
(BThanks,
(BLawrence

(BI apologise if this has been covered before. It's a long time since Ive used
(Bmy PTR1 for this sort of work.
(BI have a newly-acquired 1GHZ card - not sure, but think it may be Toshiba.
(BI have formatted the card successfully on my laptop, it works fine on my
(BBrailleNote.
(BHowever, if I try to 'clean up' on the PTR1 it sits there bleeping at me for
(Ba very long time - I've left it running for five hours or more.
(BAfter formatting on the laptop, it records about two hours of music - using
(B
(B256Kbits/sec MP3, then I get a 'write error'. Every time.
(BI have recorded short files successfully, but not yet tried past the
(Btwo-hour-plus amount.
(BNor have I yet tried recording CD quality (i.e. 80 minutes).
(BAny help welcomed - is it the card, the PTR1 or something I'm doing wrong.
(BUsing the latest UK firmware I think 2.01 from August 2003.
(BThanks in advance.
