eager for advice from anyone. I have been trying without success to convert a store-bought music cd to an MP3 version; using the Ptr. I used to be able to do this with no problem before I installed the new firmware some months ago. Now; when I put in the music cd; and give the proper back up command; it sometimes does it just fine. other times; it bails out partway through; and gives the message "failed".; there is nothing wrong with the music cd. in fact the ones tha that had problems with this i managed with no problem to "rip" to mp3 on my computer using windows media player.; these are not burned cd's they are the originals.; any suggestions?; by the way; i also tried doing this using the ptr software on my computer. i found the menu and command structure hopelessly confusing and gave up trying to give the commands to get it to work. it may have the capability to do it, but it is too counter-intuitive for me to figure out the commands.
