Hi Andy,

Random play means just that. If you wanted the tracks never to be repeated,
this would have to be shuffle play, a different feature. Random means
random. I think the behaviour is currently correct for the feature.

All the best

Subject: Any plans to fix random play?

Hi all -

Anyone know if there are any plans to fix the random play feature problem
that has existed since the early days?

I find it irritating when listening to MP3 files in random play, to hear the
same files getting played several times before all files have been played
randomly! I have also noticed that whilst the random play feature doesn't
keep a tag of what it has already played, on every CD of MP3 files that I
have, there is usually one particular track that gets played many more times
than the rest; I would say, though I haven't tested this, probably every
9-10 tracks! I wood love it if this random play problem were to be fixed in
the next upgrade, so again, any plans for this, as it has been outstanding
now for some time!

Andy
