Tom,
I can think of a lot of men who'd like a couple of "secretarty" 's , but
you are right, Neither! does need a couple of secretary's especially now
that I am going back to Adelaide. Now that the secretary is going
astray, the question is, are you tarty enough for the job?
The answer to your question is that we have received 3 $25.00 donations
and 8 memberships @ $10.00.. The majority of the contacts have been made
over the internet this time.
I think we should scrap the notion of Pres & VP etc. and opt for
Secretary, Treasurer, media liaison etc., i.e positions based on actual
tasks. I don't know how well a Generalissimo would go down on the
official structure, but maybe Albert could be Honorary national
President. I think you guys need to form the Vic branch of Neither!
while me and Pat try to start something in Adelaide. Other contacts
need to be encouraged to start state branches.
Now that we can communicate effectively on a national basis it should
help things along. It seems that in NSW there may be a fight to keep
optional preferential voting going at a state level. A NSW Liberal
Barry O'Farrell reckons that One Nation have less chance under a full
preferential system and so wants NSW to change from optional
preferential voting.
Shannon is crying. If I don't send this now it will sit unfinished in
my draft box.

I suppose b4 you get team work you need
a team. I suggest
that we put out an agenda and call a meeting. Maybe a
list of what needs to
be done and people can volunteer for different tasks.
We need to discuss
what neither is and what it wants to do and of course if
it can do it. I
think we need to prioritise and just decide to do that
which can be done
successfully. I think we should flag electing/nominating
official positions
in neither so as some responsibility can be taken. A
secretarty or 2
wouldn't go astray. Did we get a response from the mail
out? Anyway just a
thought off the top of my head will get back if anything
startling evolves.
