I recently receieved the following in a private email, "I am truely a cynic and while the wheels of justice may grind exceedingly slow and your God may well appear eventually, I ask - where was he when Hitler was in full flight, where was he when Stalin was murdering double and treble the people that Hitler even thought of? Where was he when Pinochet was released from so called justice by Straw, where was he when Pol Pot made fertilizer of millions? - where was he when Wiranto massacred East Timorese and Irian Jayans?" This was my reply, People mistake the nature of God and his purpose and aims for our planet. They expect God to solve all the problems that man has created. For instance we are creating a society of violence & fear, where homelessness & poverty will be the order of the day. Let us imagine, some time in the future, that a man in this depraved soceity takes his little daughter and, unable to handle the pressure of this society, he kills her and himself in a murder suicide. We will say, "Why, why has God allowed this terrible deed to happen" when, in reality, it was we (as a society) who created it and wanted it and did all in our power to ensure that it would happen. When you examine world history you will find the same. Wars are created by man. God allows us to have our desires fulfilled. The reality is that God has put specific conditions on helping man. When we live up to these conditions than God will intervene on our behalf. None of the nominated groups fulfilled these conditions. And the Lord appeared to Solomon by night and said unto Solomon �I have heard thy prayer....If I shut heaven that there be no rain, or if I command the locusts to devour the land, or if I send pestilence upon my people. IF MY PEOPLE that are called by my name, SHALL HUMBLE THEMSELVES, AND PRAY, AND SEEK MY FACE, AND TURN AWAY FROM THEIR WICKED WAYS; then I will hear from Heaven, and I will forgive their sin, and I will heal the land� 2 Chronicles 7:14 This is why today we in Australia are destined for the same things that all the other nations have suffered. Rather then humbling ourselves to the Creator God we are turning away from Him. There is a binding Coronation Oath to observe His statutes and judgements but this has all but been forgotten. In a republic, which it seems we might eventually have, we will lose the Words , "Humbly relying on Almighty God" from the Constitution AND our Coronation link to the Creator. The reality is that we are no longer a Christian nation as we have let, among many other things, the multiculture rush in and put Buddhist shrines (and the like ) all around Australia. This is neither good or bad, in the secular sense, as it is today�s belief that we can choose to have any society that we like. Perhaps true.
