Thanks Bradley, I was impressed with your insightful response on Mr. Van
Gelden's blog.

And you're right, I should have not judged Mr. Van Gelden so quickly. Upon
request, he immediately removed the copyrighted content from his website.
(my TLD logos image renamed to FAKETLDs.JPG) I plan to follow up with him
and let him know about the new website.

At any rate, Sero Registry will be compiling a board of advisors in the near
future, possibly including a technology business veteran and attorney who
has previously worked for M$.

We've made excellent progress in setting some of our policies. We are
currently drafting our dispute resolution policies.. Hell, I think we're
actually almost ready to successfully manage a sunrise and landrush phase.

What I find to be interesting and notable:

Sero Registry, unlike many of the new TLD operators, was built the company
from the ground up.
We built the technological infrastructure (registry, dns, data systems &
network), we drafted our policies, and created a working business model.
Now.. after all that, we're finally getting around to marketing our TLDs.

In contrast, some of the new TLDs (nTLDs) seem to be going about it the
opposite way. Marketing an idea, meanwhile still chiphering what a registry
is. Zone Delegation? That's not even in the vocab yet. We're still on I
is for ICANN. But I digress..

So on that note, Minds and Machines. I need to research them further. It
seems they did the same thing I did a while back: got a copy of coccatools
and extended it. Does anyone know anything else about them, what they
charge?

It seems they have found a niche market of "owning a TLD sounds cool"
entrepreneurs. Maybe this is an angle I had dismissed to quickly..

Sero Registry, for anyone that didn't know yet, runs on an extended verion
of CoCCATools. CoCCA Tools is pretty easy to get up and running. If anyone
is curious how to accomplish this, drop me a line.
