Guys, Let me make something clear, before people start spreading false rumors. * * * All the hubs that we host (tumblr, posterous, gawker, huffpost...) on behalf of other publishers are obviously open to anyone and everyone and do not require authentication.*
As a matter of fact, yes, for *our* blog, we use our "default hub", the hub that works for pretty much any feed. I think tis is the _only_ feed in the world which does this too! It will soon have a public hub. As Eric said, it's up to the publisher to decide what they want to do with their content, if they ever want to use a private hub (with some kind of auth mechanism) because they only need PubSubHubbub in a certain context or want to restrict access to a handful of identified subscribers, it's their decision. And in the case that you raised Jay, the publisher (us!) decided that this hub would be private. -- Julien Genestoux, http://twitter.com/julien51 http://superfeedr.com +1 (415) 830 6574 +33 (0)9 70 44 76 29 On Mon, Mar 15, 2010 at 1:55 AM, Jay Rossiter <[email protected]> wrote: > On 3/14/2010 11:50 PM, Eric Mill wrote: > > Well, again, that's the publisher's choice to use Superfeedr.
