In my experience, when I tell people about PubSubHubbub, many of them
seem to automatically assume it runs over XMPP. I then need to explain
to them that it's instead based on HTTP and very simple to implement
(as a publisher or subscriber). I guess it's because XMPP PubSub is
what popularized the publish-subscribe model. It seems like PubSub and
XMPP became synonymous and it will probably take a while to change
that.
