The lesscode.org template cannot be editited visually with Macromedia

Either the " <?xml version="1.0"?> " must be removed:

Or the DOCTYPE TAG must be added above the XML TAG:

I have currently solved this by adding the DOCTYPE TAG above the XML tag.

update: solved by removing the XML tag.

Those issues should be verified and solved.

It is important to be able to pass the pudge-templates to a designer
which uses Dreamweaver.

Any experiences / comments?

This one is critical.

It should be clarified, thus the templates can be corrected.

It affects kid, too.

kid is an XML templating tool so I expect it to produce XML with the XML tag. Why break/cripple a valid XML document just because Dreamweaver can't cope with it!?

Personally I've broken/crippled it to be able to design visually.

It's Dreamweaver that needs to be fixed here. IMHO.

I don't think so.

with a possibility of 99,9%, kid or pudge does something wrong.

But I don't know what.

What defines a valid XML document?

is there any requirement to the filename extension?

.
