--- Comment #2 from Tobias <[email protected]> --- (In reply to Raymond from comment #1) > https://git.kernel.org/cgit/linux/kernel/git/tiwai/sound.git/commit/sound/ > pci/hda?id=7f57d803ee03730d570dc59a9e3e4842b58dd5cc Did you read my report? I have powersaving on and I can use ALSA audio just fine withouh PA ever starting. By using fwm, pulseaudio isn't executed and the speakers never pop. It only pops when PA starts. Meaning, ALSA can wake up the sound subsystem without it causing a pop in the speakers. It's only when PA is added into the mix that it causes the speakers on pop. Why are you pointing to a git for kernel 4.3 when it's clear that the popping doesn't happen for me when I omit PA from the mix? Running PA 4.0 in Ubuntu doesn't cause pops either. So you can't just point to a patch that address powersaving and not explain why you think it's relevant. Explain how that patch will resolve this issue. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the QA Contact for the bug. You are the assignee for the bug.
