Ah, I missed that you're doing all this on a USB mic, so there's a
possibility the problem lies there, but I'm more inclined to blame your
playback for the delay. You could easily verify this by plugging a USB
headset that you can verify as working with low delays on a laptop. It
should also work the same way on the board, isolating the ALSA driver as
the cause of your problem.
