LPCM. Of course, ideally, we should get the number of speaker in ELD
information and configure the profiles accordingly, but that's for
another day.

This is just a question of what's common, vs the minor extra time and space taken at startup (especially for all those cards that don't have HDMI at all).

I don't have a really strong opinion either way as I don't know how common it is that people want to use 7.1 LPCM HDMI.
