Thanks a lot for your work and patience -- I have now pushed the first two patches that make up the bulk of this work (basic functionality, jack detection). I've also separated and pushed out a patch of mine that you'd partially merged into your work that adds separate sinks/sources for modifiers where applicable. The main thing left to fix is enabling modifiers when a stream is added or removed. I was thinking that this could be done in the message callback, but rethinking, I'd rather leave it out of the I/O thread. So your previous patch to do that using hooks is likely the best way forwards. Could you re-roll that patch against current master and make sure it all works fine on your hardware?
