I have the same problem. My card is: 00:1b.0 Audio device: Intel
Corporation 82801FB/FBM/FR/FW/FRW (ICH6 Family) High Definition Audio
Controller (rev 03)
For me it always seems to happen about half an hour continuous playback
(one stream). The cpu usage will suddenly spike and sound starts
stuttering (happens with multiple apps, including musicpd, flash, mplayer,
vlc).
It will only start working again after a pulseaudio restart (I am using
the system wide daemon).
