 :) Yeah I guessed it wasn't xvidtune :p

 The two variables you set AUDIODEV and AUDIODRIVER will only have effect
 for sox (which is the "rec" program I made reference to in my example).
 Also just for reference you got the values mixed up. An AUDIODEV of
 /dev/dsp referes to OSS, so and AUDIODRIVER of alsa would not make sense.

 Anyway, if it's working for you then great :)
