Bug #1845: Facter 1.5.2 ipmess.rb creates invalid ruby variables
http://projects.reductivelabs.com/issues/show/1845
Author: snemetz
Status: Unreviewed
Priority: Normal
Assigned to:
Category: library
Target version: 1.5.3
Complexity: Trivial
Keywords:
In Facter 1.5.2
If there are vlan or alias interfaces, the . or : is put in the variable name.
This is a simple error, the line:
mi = interface.gsub('/:|\./', '_')
should be
mi = interface.gsub(/:|\./, '_')
The interface names should also be changed to match. This can be done by
changing line:
Facter::IPAddress.get_interfaces.join(",")
to
Facter::IPAddress.get_interfaces.join(",").gsub(/:|\./, '_')
