Issue #3119 has been updated by Krzysztof Wilczynski. Assigned to deleted (Krzysztof Wilczynski)
---------------------------------------- Feature #3119: puppet config file syntax errors http://projects.puppetlabs.com/issues/3119 Author: Lucas Suggs Status: Accepted Priority: Normal Assigned to: Category: error reporting Target version: Statler Affected version: 0.25.3 Keywords: Branch: Currently when puppet.conf has a syntax error (e.g. missing an = sign), it does not state that there is an error with the config file, it simply uses a default built-in config and it usually breaks (and causes a lot of head scratching and confusion). Can there please be a "Your config file has an error on line: blah" printed out when the config is wrong? I'm sure this would help save a lot of confusion.
