Issue #2349 has been updated by Walter Heck.
Yup, seems fine to me. Preseeding is what it's called at least in debian, and the option to have either a template, file resource or a path there seems like it would cover all options. Transferring a file now is just annoying :) ---------------------------------------- Feature #2349: apt provider should support 'responsedata' just like 'responsefile' https://projects.puppetlabs.com/issues/2349 Author: Nigel Kersten Status: Accepted Priority: Normal Assignee: Nigel Kersten Category: package Target version: Statler Affected Puppet version: 0.25.0 Keywords: Branch: We're looking to use preseed data with apt a lot more, so have been experimenting with the responsefile parameter for apt, but it's kind of clunky given you have to deliver the file to the client and set up relationships by hand. I'm proposing adding a responsedata parameter where you simply specify this in the puppet manifest itself, rather than relying upon a separate file. As debconf-set-selections accepts input on stdin, this should be trivial to do. -- You have received this notification because you have either subscribed to it, or are involved in it.
