If you edit init.rb file after puppet master process the .rb file the agent will receive a class can not be found error: # vim /etc/puppet/modules/ntp/manifests/init.rb # puppet agent -t err: Could not retrieve catalog from remote server: Error 400 on SERVER: Could not find class ntp at /etc/puppet/manifests/site.pp:2 on node puppet.training A restart resolves the problem: # service puppetmaster restart Stopping puppetmaster: [ OK ] Starting puppetmaster: [ OK ] # puppet agent -t ... notice: puppet.training notice: /Stage[main]/Ntp/Notify[hello]/message: defined 'message' as 'puppet.training' notice: Finished catalog run in 0.76 seconds -- You have received this notification because you have either subscribed to it, or are involved in it.
