Well in the static node definition I you could assume that it is built to work with that puppet master. An ENC could be used for multiple puppet masters that have different configuration such as my environment. I have thought of a few ways to work around this issue since I control the script that pulls in the ENC. Would it be possible to make a flag in the puppet master configuration?
