This may be unnecessary since it's already possible to do this in a way by using different REST endpoints for the things you want to filter to. For example, if you want to filter to just certificate requests, rather than use the certificate_status endpoint just do search on the certificate_request endpoint (same for certificate endpoint for signed state, and maybe the CRL endpoint for revoked state which would need some work).
