Issue #6854 has been updated by Todd Zullinger. Subject changed from Update Red Hat spec file for 2.6.7 to Update Red Hat spec file
I've updated the git branch for 2.6.9rc1. I didn't create a 2.6.9rc1 tarball to test this. It's probably a good idea to do so before merging, though we can easily apply fix up commits on top of this if needed. Ping me in #puppet-dev and I can help test further. Thinking ahead more, using the work Michael submitted a while back to add some rake tasks to automatically build packages would be an excellent way to allow more folks to test directly from git. I'm not sure if that code had the ability to update the spec file on the fly or just used what was there. But projects like cobbler have a make rpm target that is very handy for testing. ---------------------------------------- Bug #6854: Update Red Hat spec file https://projects.puppetlabs.com/issues/6854 Author: Todd Zullinger Status: Accepted Priority: Normal Assignee: Todd Zullinger Category: Red Hat Target version: 2.6.9 Affected Puppet version: 2.6.7 Keywords: Branch: git://jet.mox.net/~tmz/puppet.git tickets/2.6.next/6854 The rpm spec file in conf/redhat has gotten a bit out of date.
