Thanks for the comments, RI! We originally tried just returning the Puppet resource object and letting MC serialize it, but this caused some issues with Marshal, which is why we pre-serialize the data now. This also makes it easier to take the result of a puppetral#find action and pipe it directly to a puppetral#create action (which is how we're implementing resource cloning).
