Issue #16031 has been updated by Jan Vansteenkiste. % Done changed from 100 to 10
This might not be as easy as initially thought. I forgot about windows. I see several ways on how we (I) could fix this. * One option could be to check for indenting. Requires we look ahead or split of the actual processing of the line. * another would be to check if the next line is 'param = value' or a new section. This would require us to look ahead too. * or I could just check for windows and disable * use another character to split lines. Or we do something different completely:
modulepath[] = $confdir/modules/upstream modulepath[] = $confdir/modules/internal
---------------------------------------- Feature #16031: Allow splitting of long lines in the puppet.conf configuration file. https://projects.puppetlabs.com/issues/16031#change-69540 Author: Jan Vansteenkiste Status: Unreviewed Priority: Normal Assignee: Category: Target version: Affected Puppet version: Keywords: Branch: This can be especially useful if you have multiple modulepaths in your config file.
modulepath = $confdir/modules/upstream:$confdir/modules/internal:$confdir/environments/$environment/modules/upstream:$confdir/environments/$environment/modules/internal
becomes
modulepath = \ $confdir/modules/upstream:\ $confdir/modules/internal:\ $confdir/environments/$environment/modules/upstream:\ $confdir/environments/$environment/modules/internal
-- You have received this notification because you have either subscribed to it, or are involved in it.
