Issue #16031 has been updated by Jan Vansteenkiste.
I'm not a big fan about any of the options either. Josh made another [suggestion on github](https://github.com/puppetlabs/puppet/pull/1054/files#r1427395). Using the continuation character would work, but could be unclear 'at first sight', which is always important. Even so if few people will actually use this. ---------------------------------------- Feature #16031: Allow splitting of long lines in the puppet.conf configuration file. https://projects.puppetlabs.com/issues/16031#change-69598 Author: Jan Vansteenkiste Status: Code Insufficient Priority: Normal Assignee: Jan Vansteenkiste Category: Target version: Affected Puppet version: Keywords: Branch: This can be especially useful if you have multiple modulepaths in your config file. <pre> modulepath = $confdir/modules/upstream:$confdir/modules/internal:$confdir/environments/$environment/modules/upstream:$confdir/environments/$environment/modules/internal </pre> becomes <pre> modulepath = \ $confdir/modules/upstream:\ $confdir/modules/internal:\ $confdir/environments/$environment/modules/upstream:\ $confdir/environments/$environment/modules/internal </pre> -- You have received this notification because you have either subscribed to it, or are involved in it.
