Issue #2349 has been updated by Adriaan Peeters.
Any updates or recent work on this? The proposed approach looks promising! ---------------------------------------- Feature #2349: apt provider should support 'responsedata' just like 'responsefile' https://projects.puppetlabs.com/issues/2349#change-94131 * Author: Nigel Kersten * Status: Accepted * Priority: Normal * Assignee: * Category: package * Target version: 3.x * Affected Puppet version: 0.25.0 * Keywords: * Branch: ---------------------------------------- We're looking to use preseed data with apt a lot more, so have been experimenting with the responsefile parameter for apt, but it's kind of clunky given you have to deliver the file to the client and set up relationships by hand. I'm proposing adding a responsedata parameter where you simply specify this in the puppet manifest itself, rather than relying upon a separate file. As debconf-set-selections accepts input on stdin, this should be trivial to do. -- You have received this notification because you have either subscribed to it, or are involved in it.
