Issue #2247 has been updated by George Brown.
To me it makes more sence to slipt the logic of the source of the package from it's install options. With regards to the request being yum centric I agree that a generic attribute would be nice from a design perspective but is there a request for this from the comunity? There is a yumrepo type but no equivilant for a debian ppa so to me it seems this doesn't go existing puppet design ideas. ---------------------------------------- Feature #2247: enablerepo and disablerepo for yum type https://projects.puppetlabs.com/issues/2247#change-98621 * Author: Ben - * Status: Investigating * Priority: Normal * Assignee: Charlie Sharpsteen * Category: package * Target version: 3.x * Affected Puppet version: 0.24.8 * Keywords: yum enablerepo customer * Branch: https://github.com/puppetlabs/puppet/pull/1974 ---------------------------------------- it would be nice to be able to enable a disabled repo for the installation on one package. for example installing facter from EPEL. something like;
package { "facter": ensure => installed, enablerepo => [ "epel", "epel-testing" ]; }
-- You have received this notification because you have either subscribed to it, or are involved in it.
