Issue #22008 has been updated by Paul Makepeace.

Priority changed from Normal to Immediate

OS X's default ruby is now Ruby 2. So puppet is DOA on OS X.

Is there any work scheduled for this showstopping bug?

ruby2 has messed up signal handling.

kill -HUP -USR1, etc on the puppet agent process causes it to bail out 
completey with errors like: puppet-agent[11759]: Could not run: can’t be called 
from trap context
