Released in Puppet 3.4.0-rc1 ---------------------------------------- Feature #22962: Remove alternative lambda syntaxes https://projects.puppetlabs.com/issues/22962#change-100455 * Author: Henrik Lindberg * Status: Closed * Priority: Normal * Assignee: Henrik Lindberg * Category: language * Target version: 3.4.0 * Affected Puppet version: * Keywords: future_parser language lambda * Branch: https://github.com/puppetlabs/puppet/pull/2011 ---------------------------------------- The future parser introduced alternatives how to write a lambda. Ux studied showed that the recommended syntax was also the one most people where comfortable with. This means that the alternative forms should be removed - i.e.: * "ruby style" - lambda parameters inside block, e.g. `$array.each {|$x| ... }` * "java style" - arrow after lambda parameters e.g. `$array.each |$x| => { ... }` -- You have received this notification because you have either subscribed to it, or are involved in it.
