Now that we have 3.0.0 out, and it is looking like 3.0.1 will be happening in the near future, there is some space to do some more work on 2.7.
Can everyone who has pull requests that are ready to be merged into 2.7 call them out by replying to me? That would help a lot in tracking all of this down. I want this to be the last 2.7 release that isn't just fixes for major bugs or security problems. After this only very specific fixes for high impact problems will be making it onto the 2.7 code.
